A Sustainable Approach

Our future pledge to reduce our environmental impact

We will continue our efforts to protect the environment. This includes the use of RPET bottles along with other packaging initiatives to recycle more, reduce packaging used and improving energy efficiency at our production sites.

At Sunmagic Juices we care deeply about protecting the environment. We therefore set rigorous environmental performance goals and measure progress continually to ensure we are doing the best that we can.

Whilst reducing plastic is extremely important to a business like ours, most plastic bottles are 100% recyclable, and plastic is also the most recycled material on the planet. The key issue is therefore not just about the recyclability of the material, it is also about the need to ensure we are recycling more efficiently. There are ways that we as a business are doing this, as well as educating consumers about exactly what can be recycled and how.

We have a wide range of bottles that are now using recycled PET bottles (RPET).

For example, the company that we are currently working with is responsible for extracting 20 billion plastic bottles and containers from landfills every year and recycling them. It also focuses on supporting organisations and government community recycling programs, something which is very important to us.

We also like to include useful recycling tips on our packaging, to make sure any recyclable bottles are being recycled. We have recently added a statement onto our 200ml cartons explaining that the straw is fully recyclable together with the carton as long as the straw is inserted into the carton on disposal. These are small tips that can make a huge difference to our environment.

Our future pledge to reduce our environmental impact

We will continue our efforts to protect the environment. We hope that there continues to be a plentiful supply of RPET to allow us to do this. Further to this we have an ongoing project that aims to reduce the amount of plastic used in our hotfill bottles.
